Lilly went from squeezing fruit to running an international fashion brand in little more than a year. She opened stores, came up with crazy catalogues, assembled her own amazing design team, and found printers to create her fabrics (unlike other designers, Lilly patterns have always been custom-designed). The world seemed to be turning more wonderful world for Lilly. Inspired by this dawn-of-Lilly period, we dove into our closet of vintage pieces. We fell in love with the soft, lived-in, well-loved feel, we decided to design a collection to have the same "aura." We used a lighter color palette and washed everything, so they start life with a broken-in vintage feel. We all agreed, this is a THING!
