Did you know that 37 million people in the U.S. struggle with hunger? Due to the pandemic, high unemployment rate and other factors, this number is estimated to reach more than 50 million people. The Feeding America network is the nation’s largest domestic hunger-relief organization and in honor of Giving Tuesday, Lilly Pulitzer has set a goal of raising $20,000 to Feeding America. We have donated the first $15,000 and ask that you join us. Even the smallest donation can make the biggest impact!
This year, which needed more sunshine than ever, we are celebrating our giving partners. In April, we shifted our partnership with the Women’s Tennis Association to their WTA Charities WTA 4 Love campaign, a humanitarian campaign aimed at supporting local communities affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Through the campaign, we have donated over 100,000 meals to deserving individuals across the country, and on this Giving Tuesday, we invite our Lilly community to join us in delivering even more meals to those in need.
You can also visit us in store, drive up for curbside pickup, or order online and pick up in store from 12pm-4pm on December 1 and 10% of net sales will benefit Feeding America.
Our partnership with WTA Charities began earlier this year, and most recently we came together to honor WTA’s Community Heroes all over the country. Throughout the month of November, WTA Charities and Lilly Pulitzer recognized a Community Hero of the Week which were comprised of various youth and good-will organizations that believe in developing positive community leaders and reaching out to underserved communities. Our heroes included:
- Harper for Kids
- Love and Love Tennis Foundation
- Kindness Wins
- Love Love Compton Foundation
- First Break Academy
- Feeding America

This year has brought on so many challenges. We have been proud to do our part in bringing sunshine however we can and are so appreciative for how you’ve joined us so far.
Since March 2020, with the support of our loyal community, Lilly Pulitzer has donated more than 67,500 face masks to healthcare workers and first responders at over a hundred locations. This is a cause near to all of our hearts, and we have been honored to express our gratitude to these community heroes in a very Lilly way.
Lilly Pulitzer has also been a longtime charitable partner with the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Last year, we had a Print with Purpose in support of CHOP and this year, our employees raised over $11,000 dollars (and logged over 11,000 miles!) for CHOP during their virtual Parkway Run & Walk in September, which is Childhood Cancer Awareness month.
Additionally, in October, we partnered with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation and for the second year in a row, they were the beneficiary of our Breast Cancer Awareness Month Print with Purpose donation of $30,000. This donation will fund 600 hours of important research by top BCRF investigators. Since the beginning of our partnership with them, Lilly Pulitzer has funded over 3000 hours of research.
Thank you to everyone who has joined us in these special moments during this unprecedented time. Together the Lilly community can continue to be the sunshine for others.
