Look closely—you'll find hidden treasures within its overlapping pattern of oversized scallop shells. This vintage design sets the tone for the entire space, blending soft conch pinks, sandy neutrals, and pops of orange for a palette that feels fresh, beachy, and timeless.

Beachy Prints & Shell Details: Each room tells its own story. One features conch shell pink wallpaper with tossed shells painted in coconut and rattan hues. Another showcases rattan wallpaper with swaying palms. Our favorite? A handshelled fitting room, where locally sourced shells create a stunning design.

Lighting & Décor: Chandeliers crafted from shells cast a warm glow, while mirrors framed with hand-selected conch shells add a touch of coastal chic.

The Art of Hand-Shelling

This store proudly features hand-shelling in its design, a labor of love that makes Captiva truly special. We used shells found locally, including rare “unicorn” shells that collectors travel far and wide to find. Alphabet cones, prized for their distinct markings, appear in displays and mirrors, echoing the island’s shelling heritage. It’s a nod to the nearby Shell Museum and the culture that makes Sanibel and Captiva famous.

Design Inspiration

Our design journey began with the colors of a conch shell—soft pink, warm orange, and natural rattan tones. From there, we layered textures and materials to create a space that feels airy, organic, and unmistakably coastal. Every detail, from the wallpaper to the custom rattan furniture upholstered in the Captiva print, reflects this vision.
