What We’d Pack for The Five Star Weekend

On July 9th, we’ll be tuning in to The Five Star Weekend, a new Peacock Original series based on Elin Hilderbrand’s bestselling novel. The series follows Hollis Shaw, a famed cook who recently experienced a devastating loss, as she hosts four friends from different phases of her life for a Nantucket weekend filled with sunsets, spilled secrets, and sisterhood. To celebrate the premiere, we put together a style edit featuring the pieces we’d bring along for a five-star weekend of our own.


Arrival Cocktail Party

We’d head to the first happy hour on Nantucket wearing an easy-yet-elevated outfit: think linen, matching sets, and breezy shift dresses.

Morning Brunch at Home

For a relaxed start to the day, we’d choose something chic, comfortable, and colorful. Soft striped lounge looks, a vibrant active dress, and laidback linen all fit the bill.

Trip to the Farmstand

Summer in New England is synonymous with fresh produce. We’d pick up ingredients for a make-your-own pizza night while dressed for the occasion in fun fruit and veggie prints.

Nantucket Sightseeing

For a day popping into shops and exploring the quaint island, we’d opt for a coastal look with a refreshing blue-and-white palette plus playful sea creature and shell motifs.

Afternoon at the Beach or Harbor Cruise

Our formula for oceanfront outfitting: a colorful swimsuit, a coordinating cover-up, and a pair of oversized sunglasses for a touch of glam. Plus a great beach read, of course.  And- No trip to Nantucket is complete without a day on the water. Nautical sweaters, stripes, and linen separates all float our boat

Saturday Night "Nice Dinner Out"

For an evening on the town, we’d embrace resort elegance with a mix of rich sunset hues, elevated neutrals, and special details like sparkle, lace, and crochet.
