Sunshine Spotlight
Expand AllQ: Can you tell us a bit about yourself and your family?
A: My husband, Sean, and I are having fun raising two incredible daughters, Lula and Clementine, and one wild dog, Conch. As a fourth-generation Palm Beach local and granddaughter to fashion designer Lilly Pulitzer Rousseau, I grew up immersed in color and sunshine. Today, I enjoy sharing my love of the ocean, outdoors, and our community with my girls. When we aren’t playing outside, I work full-time as a real estate agent and recently wrote a children’s book called Life and Lilly: A Palm Beach Adventure. Inspired by my mother and grandmother and dedicated to my daughters, the story captures the magic of growing up in Palm Beach and finding adventure around every corner.
Q: Is there a mom or mother figure in your life who inspires you?
A: Growing up, Granny was our family matriarch. By being unapologetically herself, she inspired by example. I couldn’t help but take note as she created her own rules to lead the life she truly wanted. She also treated every person and every animal with overwhelming compassion. It wasn’t unusual to walk into her kitchen and find a new rescued animal eating a homecooked meal. In her honor, I’m donating a portion of proceeds from my book sales to animal rescue organizations.
Today, it’s my mom that we lovingly call Granny and I get to see my daughters look at her with the same awe. My mom is the embodiment of love. She is also stronger, braver, and cooler than I’ll ever be, and I am so lucky to try and follow in her footsteps.

Q: How do you create sunshine as a mom?
A: I love to get the girls outside. Being surrounded by nature creates a feeling of sunshine regardless of the weather. We love to bike through rain puddles and build sandcastles. Recently, we signed Lula up for her first surf contest with her dad. My heart overflowed with emotion as I watched them catch the cutest wave together and ride it all the way to the beach. That day, she won her first trophy and there was so much sunshine.
Q: What's your motherhood mantra?
A: Lately, I’ve been looking for ways to slow life down. Every time I blink, another year goes by and my girls get older. The only trick I’ve found is to pick a moment in the day and quickly catalog the pieces I’m grateful for. At school drop off, I take a second to feel my daughter’s hand in mine, see the look of excitement in her eyes, and feel the sun on my back. By focusing on the little details in a snapshot of time, it pulls me out of autopilot and into the moment. So, my mantra is “stop and smell the roses.” I know I can’t stop time, but for now, I’ll try to soak in every second.
Q: How are you planning to celebrate Mother's Day this year?
A: My younger brother, Jack, is graduating from business school this Mother’s Day so my mom and I planned a mother-daughter road trip. Together, we’ll be the loudest cheerleaders in the crowd. Back at home, I’ll be looking forward to a cozy Mother’s Day celebration with my girls. Banana pancakes and a dip in the ocean are always on the menu.
